Bishop Hovakim Attends Opening of Narine Malkhasyan’s Exhibition

London, 26 July 2026 - Last Sunday, Bishop Hovakim Manukyan was honoured to attend the opening day of the new exhibition by artist and opera singer Narine Malkhasyan, a dear friend of the Diocese. Hosted in the beautiful Khaw Gallery space at Dāku Coffee Kensington, the exhibition features a curated collection of personal oil paintings with a focus on exploring colour, texture, and expression. From luminous florals to bold, textured abstractions, each piece in the show is a one-of-a-kind original and a delight for the eyes.

Narine Malkhasyan is an Armenian artist born in Yerevan whose creative journey is rooted in her cultural heritage and a deep love for both music and visual art. She is a classically trained opera singer who redefines the boundaries of contemporary art by merging her voice with live painting to create immersive experiences in public spaces. Inspired directly by the landscape or history of the site where she performs, Mrs Malkhasyan uses bold colours and dynamic strokes to convey the essence of the place and echo the emotional landscape her singing evokes.
